Antique souvenir ink well. Cube shaped with a frame made of two layers of metal - the outer having a filagree finish. Small round sepia toned photograph under glass of Melbourne Parliament House decorates the front. Hinged lid, under which a white ceramic inkwell sits.
'Made in Germany' written on the photograph.
CONDITION
Battered at the edges! Each corner is damaged, as if it had little feet that have been bent upwards, and on the front right, torn off completely, taking a bit of the filagree finish with it. The photograph tends to slide around so that it is not sitting level. There is a touch of staining to the edges of the image. The ink pot is well used and stained blue as a result. The filagree looks to have been repaired in spots (not very well) with globs of solder. All as pictured.
