1780 Austrian Thaler Coin Wine Bottle Stopper - Alexander Sturm Vienna 800 Silver Hallmarked

Lovely wine stopper with a cork base, 800 silver surround, with a coin top - a 1780  Maria Theresia Austrian Thaler.

• The bottom of the silver surround is hallmarked 800 with Alexander Sturm's four leaf clover mark.
• There is an additional mark on the top of the silver surround, with the initial C and S either side of an anchor.
• The stopper came from a deceased estate, in the box pictured, which is labelled Alexander Sturm.

CONDITION

The edges of the coin are not perfect - there is no major damage but it's clearly not an uncirculated/unused coin.

The cork stopper is intact.  All as pictured.

DIMENSIONS

The coin has a diameter of 4 cm.  The stopper is 9 cm long in total.  The silver surround below the coin is 1.5 cm long.
