1780 Austrian Thaler Coin Wine Bottle Stopper - Alexander Sturm Vienna 800 Silver Hallmarked

Lovely wine stopper with a cork base, 800 silver surround, with a coin top - a 1780 Maria Theresia Austrian Thaler. The bottom of the silver surround is hallmarked 800 with Alexander Sturm's four leaf clover mark. There is an additional mark on the top of the silver surround, with the initial C and S either side of an anchor. The stopper came from a deceased estate, in the box pictured, which is labelled Alexander Sturm. CONDITION The edges of the coin are not perfect - there is no major damage but it's clearly not an uncirculated/unused coin. The cork stopper is intact. All as pictured. DIMENSIONS The coin has a diameter of 4 cm. The stopper is 9 cm long in total. The silver surround below the coin is 1.5 cm long.
