80's Geometric Smash Tote Bag - Hand Made from Vintage Fabrics

In the course of running Retro Respection, we often come across beautiful vintage fabric items, in the form of linen and clothing, that are slightly spoiled with marks or wear.  

We call them 'vintage scraps' and Storm has made it her personal mission to salvage the best of them into new items - to preserve their beauty and to keep them out of landfill for a little bit longer.  

This tote bag is an example of her work.

• The outer is an eye catching eersucker orange floral cotton fabric, the inner a woven bright orange check.  Both were originally tablecloths, produced in the 70's.
• The retro floral pattern is iconic and modern manufacturers have replicated it oftern - but the texture of the seersucker marks this one out as an original.
• Fully lined, neatly sewn and double-stitched where the handles attach to make it super sturdy.
• Can be machine washed/tumble dried and ironed.

An eco-friendly one off.

New, but made from vintage fabrics.

DIMENSIONS

• The tote is medium size, measuring 42 cm wide and 30 cm deep, with a gusset of 10 cm.  
• Handles have a drop of 21 cm (short enough to carry with your hand, and just long enough to pop over a shoulder)
