VINTAGE Cousances Le Crueset Orange Enameled Cast Iron Saucepan Size 20

Before Le Creuset, there was Cousances, acquired by Le Creuset in 1957 and still used to create enamelled cast iron wares under the original name until the late 1980s. 

• This size 20 saucepan is marked Cousances France on the saucepan base and Le Creuset on the underside of the lid.
• Chunky enamelled cast iron - flame orange on the outside and originally white on the inside.

CONDITION

• Significant discoularation to the interior - enamel is unbroken but has surface scratching and is now more grey than white
• Handle lid is not original and is a little loose (attached by a screw so can be fixed/replaced)
• The lid has some small chips around the edge.
• Base has a ring of black at the outed edge.

DIMENSIONS

20 cm diameter, base is 8 cm tall.  30 cm wide, including handle.  A chunky 2.6 kg.  Don't hit anyone with it.  Or drop it on your toe.
