Back in the day, before it was fashionable, people upcycled and reused items just because it made sense.

The makers of powdered milk put pretty graphic designs on their tins so that they would look good as kitchen canisters once they were empty.

This one has a retrotastic food motif, with all types of veggies, a random cheese and seafood.  But all is not as it seems...the captions are all ridiculous food themed Dad jokes.

  • 'Sardine' Small fish of herring or pilchard family.  Tends to claustrophoa and gets well-oiled when crowded'
  • 'Peanut' Actually belongs to the pea family.  Anyone who thinks othewise is a nut.

You get the idea!

CONDITION

Some light scratching.  The top of the tin has considerable surface rust and some tape residue.  A touch of rusting on the inside base.
