This guy's work is never done! That crate won't move itself. I do wonder if this bloke works for a shipping yard or is a convict; check out the cool anchor tattoo! It is the little details that turn a simple toy into a fun story.
Reproduction tin toys have become quite collectable in modern times, as true vintage pieces become harder to find. Our range of metal wind-up and push-along toys look and feel as they would have back in the late 1800s to mid-1900s. Motorised tin-plate toys began production in Germany in the 1860s, with the most famous producer being Ernst Paul Lehmann, who continued to make tin toys until the 1930s.
